I am very excited to be able to release my creative juices on here. I am also happy to be able to post new information and specials regarding the studio. I hope you check back often to see what's new.
I recently took a trip to the junkyard with my husband. For those of you who know my husband "Shake" you know how he feels about junkyards and old cars, they are his passion. He has been trying to get me to be excited about old cars for 20 yrs. On the day we got married, he called me about 1 hr before the ceremony and told me he was going to make a quick trip to the junkyard but he would be there on time. he was kidding of course, but for a second I believed him because that's him. Anyway, I finally decided to go. I wanted to find a fun old car or truck that I could use for outside shoots. I must say, I was kind of taken with the whole thing. I walked around a while by myself and it was quiet and peaceful except for the occasional gust of wind blowing a piece of metal. It was a bit serene. I imagined what all of those rusted, worn out cars and trucks were like before they came to rest here. Families piling in for a Sunday drive, farmers loading up for a day of work, and someone buying their first car.
I took several photos while I was there and with a little manipulation tried to bring some life back into them. I thougth I would use them for my first post because they inspire me to continue to keep memories alive through pictures. I hope you like them. Bye for now.

I appreciate the way that you can sense the story behind the old cars. I often feel that way when going through old houses or boxes of "junk" at estate sales. It’s as though there is a whisper of a time long past; a glimpse into a once stately existence. However, in order to hear these stories, one needs to be quiet and really, really listen. I could hear snatches of those stories through your photos. Thank you for listening and for sharing
